Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

1. Introduction
Shiron Financial Solutions (“Shiron FS”) is committed to conducting business responsibly, ethically and with integrity. We fully support the principles of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and are committed to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced or compulsory labour, servitude, child labour and exploitation in our operations and supply chains.
We voluntarily publish this policy as part of our commitment to responsible business practices, fair and transparent working arrangements, and ethical supply-chain management.
2. Our Commitment
We will:
Act with zero tolerance towards modern slavery and human trafficking.
Ensure our recruitment, supply-chain and business practices are free from exploitation.
Comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Promote awareness of modern slavery across our business and relevant partnerships.
Apply controls proportionate to our size, activities and risk profile.
3. Worker Engagement and Protection
Shiron FS is committed to fair, transparent and ethical practices when engaging employees, contractors, candidates and other workers.
Our controls include:
Shiron FS does not charge candidates or workers recruitment or placement fees for securing work through us.
Appropriate identity and Right to Work checks are undertaken in accordance with applicable UK requirements.
Shiron FS does not retain workers' original identity or immigration documents.
Individuals are provided with appropriate information about the terms on which they are engaged.
Shiron FS does not tolerate coercion, forced labour, trafficking or exploitative working practices.
Shiron FS expects its suppliers and subcontractors to comply with applicable modern slavery and employment legislation and to uphold standards consistent with this policy.
4. Risk Management and Due Diligence
Shiron FS takes a proportionate approach to identifying and managing modern slavery risks within its operations and supply chain.
Where appropriate, this may include:
Reviewing relevant suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
Seeking appropriate information or assurance where a potential risk is identified.
Considering compliance with applicable modern slavery and employment legislation.
Taking appropriate action where a concern is identified.
Shiron FS expects its suppliers and subcontractors to operate ethically and comply with applicable modern slavery and employment legislation.
5. Training and Awareness
Shiron FS provides appropriate guidance and awareness to relevant staff to help them:
Recognise potential signs of modern slavery and exploitation.
Understand how to report concerns.
Support fair and ethical working practices.
6. Reporting Concerns
Employees, workers, contractors, suppliers and other third parties are encouraged to raise concerns if they suspect any form of modern slavery within our business or supply chain.
Concerns may be reported to Shiron FS management and will be treated seriously and, where appropriate, confidentially. Appropriate action will be taken where a concern is identified.
7. Responsibility and Review
The Managing Partner is responsible for overseeing this policy.
The policy is reviewed annually and updated where appropriate to reflect changes in our business, applicable requirements or identified risks.
8. Approval
This policy is published voluntarily in support of the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy for Shiron Financial Solutions.
